KUCHING: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Women chief Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah said the GPS logo will give the party added confidence as it acts as a unifying factor to all the four component
parties.

Speaking to reporters after the launch of the logo at the PBB headquarters here yesterday, Fatimah said GPS will remain committed to fight and safeguard the rights of Sarawak based on the Malaysia Agreement 1963 and both the Federal and State constitutions.

“This will be one of the main agendas of GPS,” said Fatimah, who is Minister of Welfare, Community, Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development.

She further said it is also the responsibility of the youth and women wings of each component party to be on the ground to introduce the GPS logo and vision to the masses.

“We need to inform the people the way forward for GPS and then what we are fighting for,” said Fatimah, adding that this will create confidence among the people in GPS.

On another note, the PBB women wing, she added, will be holding a meeting on Jan 19 where one of their main agendas is to discuss how to reach out to the people more effectively.

“Our supporters are too familiar with the ‘dacing’ logo of the BN (Barisan Nasional). Now that the logo is no more, we have to explain and show the new logo and symbol of GPS,” she
added.
